The Face

The image of the model's face is photographic in nature and when the tones are reversed has the same photographic quality as the shroud.

The thickness of the cloth had caused a certain amount of creasingwhich distorted the image and so it was decided to try a similar experiment with a lighter weave cloth.

The image shown here was scanned directly from the cloth and then reversed within the computer. There was no photographic processing involved at all.

Notice how the contact print has spread the and widened the face to make it appear un-natural.
