Method

As in the previous experiment dilute black gauche mixed thick enough to adhere to the skin but thin enough to be runny. A dash of liquid soap was added to the paint to help it take to the skin. Once again the pigment was applied using a normal 1" paint brush. The test shroud was made by cutting a normal single bed, white linen sheet into two lateral halves and then joining them at the end.

Once again to obtain the maximum process data, photographs were taken of each stage to provide a record of the amount of pigment on the subject both before and after the printing of the shroud. The transfer of pigment was still by a contact process and so great care was taken to ensure that once the pigment had been applied to the subject the sheet was laid on the body once only and not subsequently moved. The detailed steps of the experiment are shown below.
