Experiments With Life Models to Reproduce Image Detail reported on the shroud of Turin

Experiment to try to produce a contact image

Testing the nature of image formation from a living body to a linen cloth.

This section of the website contains the details of the first experiment carried out whilst researching the book, The Second Messiah to test the nature of image formation on the shroud of Turin.

We used a naked model, completely coated with pigment, laid on a hard floor and then covered with a linen sheet in order to produce a contact image of the model's body.

The pattern of pigment transfer and the nature of the contact image produced were then investigated.
